CAMINOS DE CEMPASÚCHIL

Blank Space, the ambitious creative house in Oslo, Norway, is organizing a group exhibition and festival focusing on the Day of the Dead - a tradition that was recognized in 2013 by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

This exhibition and festival will be an homage to the Mexican tradition, a celebration of the richness, colors, and imagery that will be represented by the different Mexican artists with different mediums and from different backgrounds.

The purpose of this project is to immerse the Norwegian audience in the folklore of this celebration, and to invite Mexican people living in Europe to revive this tradition. Alongside the exhibition there will be other activities to promote this cultural exchange and a better understanding of this in-depth tradition and the joy that it brings.

The art exhibition will open October 19th, and last until November 29th, and will host events throughout the exhibition to better cement the understanding of this amazing celebration to the Norwegian public.
